Bartender4 - WoW Addons (4.3.4)

Bartender4 is an action bar replacement/enhancing addon. It allows you to completely customize the look, size, location, amount and even properties of your action bars, often saving a lot of space and optimizing efficiency - or just making your UI more visually appealing. The addon also has an easy and quick to use keybinding feature, which allows for easy and fast setup, and which also has custom profiles. This mod can single-handedly change your whole gaming experience and allow you to easily customize your UI. I would personally say that Bartender(4) is the best action bar replacement/enhancement addon, but there are also other very decent ones, such as Dominos.

After "unlocking" your bars, all the ones that you have enabled (you can do this from the interface shown later in this post) turn green, as highlighted in the screenshot above. After placing your bars where you want them, you can lock their positions by pressing the button "Lock", resulting in something like the screenshot below.

Hint: The bars that have nothing in their buttons may seem to disappear, if the "Button Grid" option is unchecked in configurations.

Using the mod's advanced interface, you can easily tweak any and all bars to suit your specific needs. Certain variables that are at your disposal include padding, the number of buttons/rows, the visibility of the bar and even visual options like showing macro text or hiding/showing the bar if certain circumstances are met (for example upon combat or when your pet is active). Many neat things can be done with this as long as your mind is creative enough.

/bt - Opens main configuration
/kb - Allows for quick keybinding. Can also be accessed through main configuration.
/bf - Allows re-skinning of buttons (requires Masque/ButtonFacade)

Addon Control Panel - WoW Addons (4.3.4)

One of Addon Control Panel's best features is the ability to manage other addons in-game, without needing to log out and back in. It also has several other features, such as custom profiles for each character or different UIs (User Interfaces) for PvE and PVP, as well as a utility for limiting "clutter", by organizing multi-part addons and libraries neatly and logically.  I consider it to be crucial for anyone who uses more than 10 addons.

Not much else can be said about the addon, except that it is simply awesome and you should get it. It is definitely one of the best addons for World of Warcraft.

The custom profiles are accessible under "Sets". They are easily configurable, allowing for you to make different setups for several PvP classes on Warsong (instant level 85 PvP only), for example.
/acp - show and hide the ACP window
/acp addset - enable an addon set
/acp removeset - disable an addon set
/acp disableall - disable all addons (except protected and ACP)
/acp default - restore the enabled addons to what was enabled last time the UI was loaded

[PVE] Mage - Fire DPS Spec & Guide (For 4.0.6)

This spec / talent build is for level 85 Mages and the 4.0.6 version of World of Warcraft

Fire has always been an excellent DPS spec, often being one that has the potential for the most hurt, but in 4.0.6, Arcane Mages nearly rivals its potential; Fire has the higher damage output while moving (this is quite useful in most encounters), while Arcane deals more damage when staying in one place. . Both are potent, but this spec/guide is going to be for Fire Mages specifically.
Go here for the Arcane spec/guide

This specific guide is a so called basic spec, mainly meant for new players (but more advanced ones can use it as well).

What are you waiting for?

[Looking for picture -

Haven't leveled your Mage to level 85 yet? No worries, go check out our
Mage - Retribution 1-85 Leveling Talent Build & Guide (4.0.6)

  • Talents
  • Stat Priority
  • Glyphs
  • Spell Rotation
  • Additional information

Fire DPS Talent Build / Spec (4.0.6)

Stat Priority:
The stats you should prioritize with this spec are the following:

Intellect > Hit* > Haste> Crit* > Mastery

*Hit (until cap)
*Critical Strike Rating

The Glyphs to be used with this spec are:

- Glyph of Fireball : Increases the critical strike chance of your Fireball spell by 5%.
Glyph of Pyroblast : Increases the critical strike chance of your Pyroblast spell by 5%.
Glyph of Molten Armor : Your Molten Armor spell grants an additional 2% spell critical strike chance.

Glyph of Dragon's Breath : Reduces the cooldown of your Dragon's Breath by 3 sec.
Glyph of Evocation : Your Evocation ability also causes you to regain 40% of your health over its duration.
Glyph of Invisibility : Permanently teaches you this glyph. Increases your movement speed while Invisible by 40%.

Minor Glyphs:
Glyph of Mirror Image : Your Mirror Images cast Arcane Blast or Fireball instead of Frostbolt depending on your primary talent tree.
Glyph of Slow Fall : Your Slow Fall spell no longer requires a reagent.
Glyph of Arcane Brilliance : Reduces the mana cost of your Arcane Brilliance spell by 50%.

Spell Rotation:
The spell rotation to to be used with this spec is the following:

Mirror Image > Pyroblast Flame Orb  Scorch (if no lock) > Fireball > Living Bomb > Fireball

Mirror Image : [3min CD] - Creates copies of the caster nearby, which cast spells and attack the mage's enemies. Lasts 30 sec. Costs 10% of base mana.

Additional information:

The "hit cap" (for Mages) is about 6% for Heroic Dungeons and 17% for raid bosses. You should get 17% as soon as possible, as any less will decrease your damage done (especially with the long cast times).
The balance between haste and crit is one of the hardest things to manage when speccing a Fire Mage. If you have reached 25% haste, consider crit more important. If only 15%, consider crit to be as important.

"You should always try to make your specs reflect your gaming style and preference, even when you follow specs and guides."
